Susan Woltman Tietjen
Susan Woltman Tietjen serves as Chief Executive Officer of Girard Securities, Inc. Ms. Tietjen began her career in the financial services industry in the administration of private trusts at a San Diego-based bank. In 1992, she joined Sentra Securities Corporation/Spelman & Co, Inc. where she gained experience in a wide range of operational, compliance and transition management functions. During her three years as a recruiter for Sentra/Spelman, she was the only individual to exceed company quotas. Demonstrating the entrepreneurial spirit for which Girard Securities is now known, Ms. Tietjen partnered with Melisa McGuire to form the retail independent contractor division of Girard Securities in 2002. Since that time, she has helped grow the company to record levels in terms of offices, registered representatives and revenues. Ms. Tietjen served as a member of the National Financial Services Advisor Council, FINRA District 2 Committee and holds Series 7, 24 and 63 securities registrations. She is also insurance licensed. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband Scott and their two Australian Shepherds and traveling; especially to Italy. She is an avid equestrian and is passionate about the sport of dressage.

Scott Tietjen started with Girard Securities Inc., in 2008 as Director of Corporate Marketing & Communications. Although new to the Financial Services Industry at the time, he had over 25 years of experience in the Marketing, Advertising, and Recruiting arena.
Scott started out working at a Bay Area Radio Station as an Account Executive, then 18 months later, was recruited by a very well-known Major TV Station in San Francisco to be their General Sales Manager of their TV Station and their two sister Radio Stations. During that time, Scott successfully ran the Sales Departments for all three stations, tripling their sales revenue in 18 months, which had never been done before during the very long history of their stations.
Having worked with all of the major San Francisco Advertising Agencies over a 5 year period and wanting to expand his horizons, Scott was offered and accepted a position as a Senior Account Supervisor with very reputable Advertising Agency in the Bay Area and received numerous awards as the top Account Supervisor, bringing in more new clients into the firm for 3 consecutive years by a very large margin.
In 1997 Scott’s entrepreneurial spirit got the best of him and he started his own very successful Advertising Agency in the Pacific Northwest. As President, he ran and grew his firm into 3 offices, serving over 175 advertising clients up and down the West Coast. His advertising company created extremely successful campaigns for his clients utilizing TV, Radio, Newspaper, Trade Publications and Direct Mailing Campaigns. Seeing the need and opportunity, he later created a separate department dedicated to helping major Silicon Valley companies recruit new employees utilizing a variety of creative Recruitment Advertising campaigns, Trade Shows and in-house events, which was an instant success and extremely profitable.
As fate would have it, after 11 years, of running the company, Scott reconnected with his high school sweetheart, Susie Woltman who he attended La Jolla High School with and graduated together in 1981. Scott without hesitation (true love will do that to you) proceeded to work out an agreement with all of his employees and signed a contract with them to purchase his company as a group, which they are still successfully running today.
In 2008, Scott and Susie were married and within the first year, Scott joined Girard Securities Inc. Starting in a capacity that he knew best, which was marketing, brand development, client relations and most importantly, recruitment, Scott jumped in with both feet. Girard at the time was still a fairly small Broker-Dealer, so it enabled Scott to learn the ropes daily, by working in literally every department of Girard, from daily the operations, billing, compliance, marketing, recruitment, helping plan and organize Girard Conferences, Sponsor events and advisor relations.
Now after 10 years of happily working in the Financial Industry with the Girard family of advisors and the truly dedicated Girard team, he’s found a lifelong home that he loves. His position with Girard has evolved over the years and is now becoming more streamlined with his major focus on Advisor Relations and recruiting new advisors to the Girard Region. However, Scott is always willing and able to jump in and help in any area of our Girard Region that needs assistance.

Jason Rogers began his career in the financial services industry at Morgan Stanley in 1994 where he concentrated on the area of equity research. After joining Sentra Securities Corporation/Spelman & Co., Inc., he worked in the investment banking area, handling syndication and due diligence for investment banking candidates. His efforts in investment banking led to a senior equity trading position. Mr. Rogers subsequently transferred to the Marketing division, where he focused on investment advisory products. In 2002, he joined Girard Securities, Inc., where he is currently responsible for product review and cultivates and maintains the firm’s relationships with product sponsors and oversees sales presentations and conferences. Mr. Rogers has a B.A. in Business Administration and is a graduate of The Wharton School, Securities Industry Institute. He holds Series 7, 24, 31, 55 and 63 securities registrations and is a member of the National Due Diligence Alliance, the Nationwide Financial Network, and the San Diego Stock and Bond Association.
Director of Administration
Jacklyn McCray currently serves as Director of Administration for the Girard Region of Cetera Advisor Networks. Jacklyn has 20+ years of broker-dealer experience, having worked 15 of those years with Girard Securities, Inc. Current and past experiences in the areas of licensing, registration, compliance and commission. She is responsible for supporting, researching issues and performing tasks for the Regional Management Team, Financial Advisors and their teams.
Jacklyn grew up in the South where she received her education. In her spare time, Jacklyn enjoys reading, bowling, creating cooking recipes and spending time with her husband and their Boxer.

Glenn was the youngest of 4. Brooklynite/Queens-NY parents, moved, just across the Hudson, to a New Jersey suburb. After spending a couple of years attending a small university in Colorado, I returned to complete my Finance degree at Rutgers University, in NJ. However, the West Coast captured his heart along with his wife, Therese, who is a New Zealander. With 24 years so far in the industry, Glenn has been fortunate to work in multiple firms, and many wonderful people, in multiple, varied locations. (Licenses, 4, 7, 8(9&10), 14, 24, 53, 63, 79).
Early on, Glenn worked on Wall Street, & Mid-town for ”Waterhouse Securities” (now TD Ameritrade), as a trader, then branch work. Shortly after, he moved to out to San Francisco where he worked in the financial district, & subsequently Branch locations, within downtown San Fran, Redwood City, Walnut Creek, Santa Clara, & San Jose.
Other firms, and other job responsibilities: New Zealand Broker/Dealer/Advisory Firm/Br Mgr., Trading, Client Services Mgr. (We lived with Therese’s family in NZ, outside of Wellington.). Fortunate to also work with Commonwealth Financial/downtown San Diego. LPL-AVP of Continuing Education and Registration, and his wife Therese, also worked with LPL for about 8+ years in Transitions and Premier services.
Glenn provides client/customer services for our Reg Reps, and their support teams. He enjoys direct communication, and building these relationships, and working, strong, as a team. Even with challenging and/or difficult situations, when we all come together and communicate a strategy and/or solutions, is very gratifying to know we were able to work together and work the issue.
When not working, Glenn enjoys the small coast town of Trinidad, CA, and enjoys spending time with his family. He has two children, Ashton and Sage. Ashton recently Graduated from Cal State-Humboldt State University, Kinesiology, and Scientific Diver major/minor, and is applying to graduate programs. Sage attends Western Washington University/Bellingham, WA., studying ecology, sustainability, and scientific research. Glenn also enjoys going for hikes along Redwood Coast, beaches, Redwood groves, mountains, etc. Kayaking along our coast and bay seeing wildlife seals, sea lions, birds, river otters. Sustainability Energy and individual garden/farming. He also likes to play guitar and woodworking.
